Online Guitar Courses Or Guitar Lesson DVDs Which Is Better?
When you’re starting out on the guitar and trying to make a decision about online lessons or a guitar lesson dvd there’s a bit more you should think about besides the cost, although that is usually where most people stop comparing.
While some may enjoy the idea of having instant access to lessons as soon as they’re paid for, which is the case when you join an online guitar lessons membership course, how ever while you may enjoy the instant gratification of online lessons you may loathe having to watch all of your guitar lessons in front of your computer.
online videos have grown in popularity over the last few years, and thanks to high speed internet connections in more than half the homes in America you can now get DVD quality video right on the Internet, how ever using your computer monitor or laptop as the “TV” you watch your lessons on can be a pain in the butt.
On the flip side of the coin DVD lessons are not available directly after purchase, as they must be shipped from the company you purchased them from, but you do get to watch them on your home DVD player and TV. Of course you can use dvd guitar lessons on your computer as well.
What about for Beginners?
It’s my opinion that if you are a brand new guitar player then I’d suggest you consider a DVD course. There’s no doubt in my mind that you’re eager to learn, how ever online lessons usually aren’t as organized or contain a straight forward lesson plan while the majority of DVD courses targeting beginners do. They are usually created with the brand new guitarist in mind.
What if you can already play Guitar?
If you’re someone who’s taught themselves the basics on the guitar and the open chords, names of the strings and notes on those strings aren’t a problem for you then online lessons are probably the right choice. Most of the best online guitar lessons target intermediate players who have a bit of knowledge and are seeking some formal instruction to take their playing to the next level or learn a particular genre or style of guitar.
